We met with the co-founders of Amuse in 2018. They reached out to us to help them assemble a dedicated Amuse dev team that will help setup an advanced engineering culture focused on continuous delivery and best practices in software engineering.
The company just closed a founding round assembled a strong team from Spotify, MTV and other companies, had an internal team and worked with consultants, but they felt they needed a better partner to move the company forward and to scale to the next level.
We kicked off the product collaboration by assigning a single strong TechLead to do research and analysis on the existing infrastructure and Python codebase.
Based on our analysis we suggested a new process, way of working and architecture to onboard new team members more efficiently.
To ensure they could deliver a reliable product with minimal downtime, we advised them on infrastructure, DevOps, and continuous delivery.
Our team supported the scaling phase by implementing a new infrastructure with improved system reliability and streamlined deployments, reducing errors and boosting efficiency.
As the company started with mobile-first, they lacked a web app, so we implemented the first version of the web-app including the front-end React architecture.
In the first months of the collaboration we have developed critical features like Split Payments, PRO subscriptions etc. targeted at growing monetization features and attracting paid users to use the tools.
One of the most complex systems we supported in building is a comprehensive custom music distribution pipeline for over 30 different online stores - e.g. Spotify and Deezer
Moving forward: after building a royalty payout solution with over 30 milllion of USD processed in payments, our team also independently developed a marketing tool that allows artists to share their music on social media, enhancing their reach and engagement with fans.
Our team recently introduced Automated Content Review services, leveraging machine learning and specialized tools for audio, language, and image analysis.
These services automate the music review pipeline, significantly improving platform scalability and review consistency, reducing manual tasks, as well as lowering release lead times.
Implementing this project involved the use of rule engines and a comprehensive knowledge base to streamline and optimize the entire review process, ensuring a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
Amuse evolved the engineering culture, increased the tech team by 5x and grew to become one of the top 5 global DIY digital music distributors, processing big volumes of independent music on a daily basis - while also prohibiting copyright infringement and streaming fraud.
We continue to support the company with a dedicated team of 6 people working closely with the CTO and remainder of the engineering organization

Working with Ministry of Programming (MOP) has been a true pleasure since day one. The team is super friendly, highly experienced, they respond quickly to any questions or feedback we might have and it shows that they truly love what they do.
I can highly recommend working with MOP to anyone looking to get help with building their app and/or web service.
